After retiring from a career in road construction, Wayne Byerley discovered a passion for woodturning that quickly grew into something beyond the ordinary. He enjoys transforming raw logs into unique works of art that showcase the natural beauty and character of the wood.

Wayne later expanded his craft into segmented woodturning, creating intricate pieces made from hundreds or even thousands of individual wooden segments. Each design begins on a computer, where the individual pieces are carefully planned, cut, and glued together before being turned on a lathe to reveal the finished work of art.

Always eager to explore new techniques and challenge himself creatively, Wayne continues to experiment with new ideas. For him, the excitement lies in discovering what he can create next.
