Michael Janosky
Michael Janosky’s oil paintings capture the movement, atmosphere, and beauty of the Indiana landscape. His visible brushwork and vibrant, high-chroma colors bring his scenes to life—you can almost feel the breeze moving across the water or sense the changing sky.
A lifelong artist, Janosky draws much of his inspiration from the places that shaped him, especially Lake Michigan, the Indiana Dunes, and the landscapes of his childhood. His representational paintings remain true to nature while emphasizing the colors, shapes, atmosphere, and seasonal changes that make each scene unique.
Primarily self-taught, Michael has studied art history, appreciation, oil painting, and photography. His passion for the landscape and his mastery of oils have earned his work recognition as an Indiana Artisan.
For Michael, painting is more than documenting a place—it is about capturing its mood, movement, and sense of place.
