Don Widmer
Don Widmer is a hand papermaker who creates detailed pulp paintings with numerous layers of stenciled pulp. He has exhibited throughout the Midwest, most recently at the Newberry Library, where his tunnel book Fanny and the Doll Corpse was part of the exhibit “Pop-Up Books Through the Ages.” His pulp paintings are included in the recent publication Radical Paper: Art and Invention with Colored Pulp, the first ever book on the subject. He received his MFA in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago.
